General Information
The purpose-built National Convention Centre Canberra is located in the heart of the city and just 7km from the airport. Transport to and from the venue is simple as the NCC is surrounded by taxis and regular bus services, with many places being within walking distance.

Flights
Canberra Airport is the eighth busiest airport in Australia, serviced by most of the major passenger airlines. It offers more than 300 scheduled services per week, including direct or one-stop services from major hub cities.
Transport from Canberra airport
ACTION Bus:
Passengers can take buses 11 and 11A between the airport's terminal and the city. Cash fares include:
- Adult single fare: $4.80 / Day ticket: $9.20
- Concession, Tertiary, School Student single fare: $2.40 / Day ticket: $4.60

Airport Express Bus:
Canberra airport offers an Express shuttle bus to city and return daily. The bus stop is located kerbside upon existing the arrivals hall. View map to see bus stop location.
All shuttle buses stop at the NCC. The fees are $12 one way or $20 return. Tickets can be purchased:
- From the bus driver (cash or EFTPOS)
- At the customer service office located opposite the bus stop
- By booking online at www.rideondemand.com.au

Taxis:
The sheltered taxi rank is located on the ground floor of the terminal building with supervisors on hand during peak times to ensure a smooth flow of taxis for travellers. View map to see location for the taxi rank.
The approximate taxi fare from the airport to the city is $48 (6am - 9pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holiday) and $54 all other times. Please note: these are estimates only and the fare charged will vary depending on pick up point, destination and time of service.
Climate
The month of September is the start of spring. The average temperature is around 6°C to 19°C (42.8°F to 66.2°F) with fresh mornings and brisk nights. This is also the time to celebrate the spring flower festival, Floriade, a very unique and special attraction to the Australian Capital Territory.
