Dr. Amirdelfan is the Vice President on Business Development and the Director of Clinical Research at Boomerang Healthcare, Inc., headquartered in Walnut Creek, California. He received his medical degree from Texas A&M University, College of Medicine and completed his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, an affiliated facility with UT Southwestern School of Medicine. Dr. Amirdelfan completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Pacific Pain Treatment Centers with Dr. Elliot Krames, in collaboration with California Pacific Medical Centers in San Francisco. He has served as the Department Chair of Pain Medicine at several hospitals in his area. He performs extensive research and lectures on various cutting-edge methods in pain management at the national and international levels. He is regarded as one of the foremost global key opinion leaders in the field of Interventional Pain Management and Neuromodulation. He also continues to be actively involved in conducting research for the development of new technologies to help improve pain management worldwide. He has authored over 270 scientific peer-reviewed publications in his specialty. He is also the Vice President of Clinical Affairs and an executive board member of the American Society of Pain & Neuroscience (ASPN). He is also one of the founders of Pacific Spine & Pain Society (PSPS). Dr. Amirdelfan has a special interest in Spinal diseases, spinal cord stimulation and stem cell technologies research.
Dr G Baranidharan has been a Pain Medicine Consultant at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, United Kingdom, since 2006. He is the clinical lead for Pain Medicine. He holds an appointment as an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Leeds.
Dr Baranidharan completed his MBBS from Madras Medical College (1996), Madras, India. He pursued his anaesthesia and Pain Medicine training at Yorkshire Deanery, UK and McMaster University, Canada (1999-2006). He has a Fellowship in Anaesthesia (FRCA) and Pain Medicine (FFPMRCA) from the Royal College of Anaesthesia and the Faculty of Pain Medicine.
Dr Baranidharan developed the Neuromodulation Centre in Leeds from a small service to one of the most significant units in Europe. He is active in research and teaching. Most of his research activities are on Neuropathic pain and Neuromodulation. He has a particular interest in managing the pain of visceral origin. He has significantly contributed to developing a National Neuromodulation Registry for the United Kingdom and currently chairs the Data set Committee.
Dr Baranidharan is the current Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pain Medicine and an examiner for FFPMRCA. He has successfully run his annual cadaver workshop in Leeds since 2008 (www.paincourse.co.uk).
