Conference App

The conference app has everything you need for NSANZ 2024!

Download it today via the Apple App Store or Android Play Store to view the program, build a personalised schedule, connect with other delegates and start planning your conference experience. 

To download the app please search The Event App by EventsAir in your smartphone or tablet app store. Once The Event App is opened, please type nsanz2024 into the search by event name bar. The PIN has been emailed to you. If you do not know the PIN please contact the Conference Secretariat, or see the registration desk for assistance.

Registration

The conference registration desk is located on the Mezzanine Foyer at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, adjacent to the Federation Ballroom entrance. The opening times are as follows:

  • Friday 19 July: 12.00pm - 6.30pm
  • Saturday 20 July: 7.00am - 5.00pm
  • Sunday 21 July: 7.00am - 2.00pm

Staff at the registration desk will be happy to help with any queries.

Name Badges:
All delegates are required to wear their name badge for the entire conference. Delegates and Sponsors without a name badge will not be able to enter the exhibition hall where all the catering breaks will be held.  

Full Registration entitlements include:

Program 

Conference Program
The conference program is available in the Conference App. Simply go back to the home screen and tap the 'Program' module. Tapping the star icon on a session will add it to your 'My Program' module.

Social Program
The Welcome Reception will be held in the Federation Ballroom on Friday 19 July, from 5.00pm – 6.30pm and is included for all full delegates and speakers, and all sponsors/supporters. We look forward to seeing you there.

On Saturday night, there will be a Conference Dinner held at The Henry Jones Art Hotel from 7.00pm – 11.00pm. Tickets are $150 per guest. Please contact the Conference Secretariat to purchase a ticket if you have not done so already. Further information on both events, can be found here.

Sponsored Sessions
There are 2 sponsored sessions available, join Saluda Medical and Mainstay Medical over breakfast to learn more about the research behind their products. While registrations are encouraged, all delegates are welcome to attend so please join us from 7.00am on Saturday and Sunday mornings, breakfast is included. The conference exhibition and all catering breaks will be held in the Federation Ballroom.

Saturday 20 July

  • Exhibition opening hours: 8.00am – 3.30pm
  • Morning tea: 10.30am – 11.00am
  • Lunch: 12:30pm – 1.30pm
  • Afternoon tea: 3.00pm – 3.30pm

Sunday 21 July

  • Exhibition opening hours: 8.00am – 12.45pm
  • Morning tea: 10.00am – 10.30am
  • Lunch: 11.45am – 12.30pm

Dietary Requirements
If you have not already done so, please advise the Conference Secretariat of any specific dietary requirements and/or food allergies. If you have advised of a special dietary request, please make yourself known to banqueting staff at Sofitel Brisbane Central in order to collect your special meal. Vegetarians will be catered for within the standard catering package.

We encourage all delegates to visit the sponsors and supports during their times at NSANZ 2024.

Other Information

Speaker Preparation
The Speaker Preparation Room is located in Chancellor 5 on the Mezzanine level. The team will be available from 7:00am on Saturday 20 July until 2.00pm on Sunday 21 July. All presenters must visit the team at least 2 hours prior to their session start time.

Poster Display 
The poster display will be located in the exhibition hall in Federation Ballroom, Hotel Grand Chancellor. Posters are to be in-place by 10.45 am on Saturday 20 July 2024 and will be displayed for the duration of the conference.

Hard copy posters should be printed in “AO Portrait” (1,189mm high x 841mm wide). Presenters are required to bring their own hook-and-loop velcro for attachment to the board (double sided tape or blu tac are not suitable).

Poster walk around sessions will take place during the lunch breaks on both days of the conference.  During these sessions, authors should stand by their poster, in case delegates have any questions about your research.

Digital poster will also be displayed electronically. Digital poster will be included in a resource gallery, accessible through the NSANZ 2024 conference app, alongside a copy of the abstract.

CPD Points/Certificates of Attendance
All delegates attending The Safe Use of Fluoroscopy Units and/or NSANZ 2024 will receive an e-certificate of attendance. The certificates will be emailed to all delegates shortly after the conference; no hard copies will be available. Please contact the Conference Secretariat if you need to update your email address.  

The attendance certificate will note the number of educational hours completed. You will need this certificate to apply for CPD accreditation points through your chosen college. We recommend delegates self-record as colleges differ on their professional development point systems.

Conference Feedback
You will be emailed a link to the evaluation at the conclusion of the conference; your participation would be appreciated. Feedback is important to ensure changes and improvements are made to future conferences. 

Delegates who complete the evaluation can go into the running to win a complimentary registration to the 2025 Neuromodulation Society of Australia and New Zealand 18th Annual Scientific Meeting.

Flights

There are a number of transport options from the airport such as:

Bus - The SkyBus departs Hobart Airport every 30 minutes and drops off just opposite the HGC. For further information please visit the SkyBus website.

Taxi - Taxis are available from the taxi rank, located directly out the front of the terminal building. For more information about taxis at Hobart Airport please visit www.hobartairport.com.au/transportation/taxi/.

Visa
All travellers other than Australian and New Zealand citizens need to present the following documents to officers in immigration clearance:

  • a valid passport or other acceptable travel document
  • a valid visa or authority to enter Australia (including electronic visas)
  • a completed and signed Incoming Passenger Card, including health and character declaration

Climate & Temperature
The weather in Tasmania in July is cold with temperatures between 4°C and 12°C, warm clothes are a must.

Time Zone
Tasmania operates on Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) which is UTC/GMT+10/11 depending on the time of year, due to it observing daylight saving time.
