Mainstay Medical is proud to bring you exceptional and experienced speakers discussing the pathology of neuromuscular instability due to arthogenic inhibition and motor control dysfunction of multifidus. Providing a deeper understanding of the role of multifidus as the primary intersegmental stabiliser of the lumbar spine, the cycle of pain, degeneration and dysfunction of multifidus and the resultant cortical changes that occur. Exploring the process of differentiating between the source of pain and the cause of the pain in chronic mechanical low back pain, the current treatment options for multifidus dysfunction and where restorative neurostimulation fits into this treatment algorithm. As well as discussing optimal candidate selection for restorative neurostimulation, how to identify multifidus dysfunction in clinical practice and the mechanism of action of restorative neurostimulation in this patient cohort.
