Frequency Matters – The continuing evolution of High Frequency SCS

This year Nevro is celebrating 10 years of positive patient outcomes! Built on the outcomes from 100,000+ patients, HFX combines innovative technologies, advanced therapies, and end-to-end patient support to achieve the best possible results. HFXTM Nevro’s one comprehensive platform for individualized relief from chronic pain. Join Nevro’s VP of Scientific Affairs – Kerry Bradley with an overview of the development of HF SCS, a discussion on the current theories of the mechanism of action and an examination of the key milestones in achieved in clinical research.

Meet Our Expert:

Kerry Bradley, trained as an Electrical Engineer, has worked in an R&D, Clinical, and Research capacity in implantable electrical stimulation for 27 years. In the 1990s, he developed algorithms for pacemaker optimization in bradycardia and heart failure.  In the 2000's he researched and developed the patient-controlled stimulation fitting algorithms for the Precision SCS system. He also designed and participated in small-scale clinical studies for technical and parameter optimization, focusing predominantly in SCS. He joined Nevro in 2013, where he leads a research team focusing on clinical and preclinical investigations into mechanisms of action of HF10 Therapy.  He has collaborated on several peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, numerous presentations and posters in biomedical engineering, and holds over 100 patents.

Loss of Neuromuscular Control: The Problem No One is Addressing

Mainstay Medical is proud to bring you exceptional and experienced speakers discussing the pathology of neuromuscular instability due to arthogenic inhibition and motor control dysfunction of multifidus. Providing a deeper understanding of the role of multifidus as the primary intersegmental stabiliser of the lumbar spine, the cycle of pain, degeneration and dysfunction of multifidus and the resultant cortical changes that occur. Exploring the process of differentiating between the source of pain and the cause of the pain in chronic mechanical low back pain, the current treatment options for multifidus dysfunction and where restorative neurostimulation fits into this treatment algorithm. As well as discussing optimal candidate selection for restorative neurostimulation, how to identify multifidus dysfunction in clinical practice and the mechanism of action of restorative neurostimulation in this patient cohort.
