How I Chose My First Laser

Speaker: Dr Jason Wu
Dr Wu studied Medicine at the University of Queensland, and graduated with Honours.  During his specialist training he worked and studied in Ireland, at the Royal Darwin Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, the United Kingdom and at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, and was co-recipient of the Founders Medal for Procedural Dermatology.
Dr Wu has been a visiting consultant dermatologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital since 2008. He conducts a general dermatology clinic, and runs the difficult psoriasis and biologics clinic. He is a senior clinical lecturer with the University of Queensland and is actively involved in dermatology specialist training and GP training. He has been convenor of the Australasian College of Dermatologists Annual Scientific Meeting, has been on the Steering Committee for multiple national scientific meetings, and sits on the Advisory Boards for several medications in the fields of psoriasis and eczema. He is a regular reviewer for the Australasian Journal of Dermatology. He is author of several articles in international, peer-reviewed, medical journals. He is the current secretary of the Queensland Faculty of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
His outside interests include computing and informatics. As a medical student he was a member of the team representing Australia, which placed second at the International Collegiate Computing Competition. As a schoolboy he won State and National athletics titles, and remains a keen runner.
Dr Wu’s dermatology interests include psoriasis and biologics, general medical dermatology, and laser dermatology.

Dr Anthea Mulcahy is a clinical research fellow to Dr Adrian Lim and Associate Professor Stephen Shumack in Sydney, NSW. Anthea gained her medical degree from the University of Tasmania and moved to Sydney in 2015 to follow her passion of Dermatology.
