Deadline for Submission: Friday 3 July 2015

A session titled Cosmetic Medicine Complications: How to avoid them and what to do when they occur will be held during the Advanced Concurrent Session on Saturday14 November 2015.

A panel of experts will discuss a number of complications – why they may have occurred and what to do.

Delegates have the opportunity to submit a case study for discussion by the panel. Time has been included in this session for audience involvement.

Case Study Body Format

Must be 300 words or less, inclusive of title, author(s) names, and institutional affiliation(s) and references. Please do not use abbreviations unless defined in the case study. All submissions should be in Microsoft Word format.

Content should include the following sections: 

Background and Aims: Include one or two sentences to introduce the client’s background and aims of having the procedure done that led to this complication.

Methods: Outline the procedure the client had requested, as well as the process that resulted in the complication.

Complication Management: Outline the complication that resulted from the procedure and the steps that were taken to resolve the issue.

  • The program review committee will review case studies within four weeks of the closing date.
  • You will be notified if your case study will be included in the program. 
  • The Laser and Cosmetic Medicine Committee may use case studies anonymously at future meetings.
