7th Biennial Conference
Breakthrough to Excellence
Cypress Lakes Resort, Hunter Valley | 11 - 14 Mar 2014
The AusACPDM Scientific and Organising Committees are pleased to invite investigators to submit the results of their very latest research for consideration for a Breaking Research paper presentation. The purpose of the Breaking Research extra submission process is to ensure that the results of very recent, important clinical studies and scientific discoveries are presented at the 2014 AusACPDM.
To qualify for a Breaking Research paper presentation, a clinical or scientific study described in an abstract should be one for which the data were not available by the regular abstract deadline of 31st July 2013.
Papers previously submitted for the 31st of July paper submission deadline are NOT eligible for resubmission.
Posters, workshops and breakfast session submissions have been finalised and no new abstracts can be submitted.
To assist the reviewers in determining that abstracts qualify for a Breaking Research paper, submitting authors are required to provide information documenting why their work qualifies using the criteria above.
Breaking Research paper presentations (podium presentation) are 10-minute oral presentations in English.
One digital projector, laptop computer, and one large screen will be provided. If you are including a video in the presentation, an embedded video is more effective. Presenters must be prepared to discuss their paper in response to audience questions at the end of each session in a joint question time.
Abstract Selection Process
All Breaking Research paper abstracts will undergo peer review and scoring similar to other abstracts. It is anticipated that the acceptance rate for Breaking Research abstracts will be much lower than that for regular submissions. The AusACPDM Scientific and Organising Committees reserves the right to decide, based on the number, quality, and potential impact of the submissions and the space available in the conference venue, about how many submissions to accept.
General Submission Policies
Electronic Submission Deadline is 24th December 2013 - 5:00PM AEDT.

Please note that it is not sufficient just to state that ‘results will be presented’.
