Date: Sunday 19 April 2026
Time: 8:30am - 12:30pm
This workshop explores the value of occupation-based approaches in persistent pain management through a biopsychosocial lens. Participants will explore theoretical models of practice, debate the role of goals and values in care planning, and apply trauma-informed principles to foster safety and collaboration.
The session will highlight evidence-informed therapy approaches, including single session interventions, to support meaningful engagement and function despite ongoing pain. Attendees will gain practical strategies to enhance therapeutic effectiveness, address psychological and social influences on pain, and increase confidence on using occupation as a therapeutic tool.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped to deliver holistic, person-centred, occupation-based care for individuals living with persistent pain.
