Invitation to APS 2026: Adelaide
On behalf of the Australian Pain Society (APS), I am very excited to welcome you to Adelaide from 19 - 22 April 2026 for our 46th Annual Scientific Meeting.
We will be meeting on the lands of the Kaurna people, who are the traditional owners and custodians of the beautiful Adelaide Plains.
Get set for something amazing! The Scientific Program Committee has put together a fantastic line-up of speakers for APS 2026, including two world-leading and highly engaging international speakers:
They will be joined by a fabulous group of national speakers who clearly demonstrate why Australia is viewed as a world leader in pain management and research. Come to learn, connect, and be inspired over 4 days of pre-conference workshops, plenary lectures, topical symposia, and oral/poster presentations covering diverse pain research across basic science, clinical science, and real-world clinical implementation.
April is the perfect time to visit Adelaide. As the city's parks and vineyards transform with stunning hues of red, orange, and gold, it's the ideal season for scenic strolls through the Botanic Garden or the picturesque Adelaide Hills. The cooler weather also sets the stage for delicious food and wine experiences, with the famed wineries of the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale offering tastings against a backdrop of harvest-time beauty. The city’s cultural scene shines, too, with autumn festivals, art exhibitions, and live performances, making Adelaide the ideal place to embrace the season. Whether you're savouring a local wine, exploring cozy laneways, or soaking in nature’s colourful display, autumn in Adelaide is unforgettable.
If you have not attended an APS meeting before, don’t miss the chance to connect with our vibrant community of healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates – all working together to transform pain management and make a real impact in the lives of those affected by pain. And if you have attended before, welcome back to another excellent and thought-provoking meeting!
As a proud representative of the APS Local Organising Committee and the SPC, I look forward to seeing you in Adelaide in 2026!
