But what if you dive deeper? Try something a little off the beaten path?

She Shapes History is an independent Canberra walking tour business, run by two queer women who are on a mission to share the contributions of women who have been forgotten, ignored and marginalised. By telling meaningful and fun stories, in the places that they happened, She Shapes History brings Canberra's diverse past to life, helping locals and tourists draw deeper connections to Australia's culture and people.

Enjoy one of Canberra's many cocktail bars...
Our first recommendation has to be Our Place on London, who have generously paired with APS for the Monday night social activity. We encourage you to visit them and enjoy their delicious menus.
Wind back 100 years to the era of prohibition at Molly Bar, to find this secret whiskey bar you'll need to follow geographical coordinates. We might see you there?
Around the corner, enjoy Bar Rochford's beautiful wine list and settle in for one of their set menus.
Staying at QT Canberra? Slide into one of Lucky's Speakeasy's couches and enjoy a cocktail in this dark and mysterious bar.
Not a big drinker? We've got you covered too! Here's 7 bars with fabulous, non-alcoholic drinks available.
Bouldering and Beers
This is the top pick from our LOC Convenor, Dr Andrew Watson - and where we will be over Easter! Bouldering is like rock climbing, but with shorter walls and no need for ropes or a partner. Work up a sweat at Bloc Haus Canberra (kids are welcome too!) and then wander down the road to Capital Brewing Co. and settle in over a few small batch beers (someone pass us a Mango Tango) and a brodburger. Best of all, Capital Brewery is completely carbon neutral - cheers!
Mount Majura Vineyard
Don't forget there's a wine tasting at Mount Majura Vineyard available on Wednesday afternoon, directly after the end of the conference. Space is limited, bookings are required through the APS 2023 registration form.
APS 2023 finishes just prior to Easter, so stay on! Relax! And enjoy everything the country's capital has to offer...
