Registration Inclusions
Registration for full registrants includes entry into all scientific sessions, access to the conference app, attendance e-certificate, morning, afternoon teas and lunches on each day of the conference, APS Discipline Sub-Group Meetings and the Welcome Reception on Sunday 10 April 2022.

Day registration includes entry into all scientific sessions, access to the conference app, attendance e-certificate, morning, afternoon teas and lunch on the day of registration.

A registration fee for the Welcome Reception is applicable for registrants that are not attending the full APS meeting (i.e.day registrants, those registering for a Sunday pre-conference workshop only, and all accompanying guests).

Payment
Delegates are encouraged to pay via credit card at the time of registration.

Payment can be made by credit card, personal cheque or EFT transfer in Australian Dollars only. Cheques should be made payable to the Australian Pain Society Conference. Alternatively, payment may be made via MasterCard or Visa. Payment can also be made by direct transfer, please quote invoice number when transferring funds electronically.

Cancellation Policy
Registration:
If notification of cancellation is made in writing to the Secretariat prior to Monday 28 February 2022, a full refund will be given (less a $175 processing fee). After this date no refund will be given, however a substitute delegate may be accepted. Refunds for social functions will be given at the discretion of the Conference Secretariat.

DC Conference & Association Management and the Australian Pain Society adhere to the legal requirements of the Australian and Tasmanian governments regarding travel and entry to Tasmania. Please check the Tasmania government website for the most up to date information.

Delegates should be aware of the Tasmanian Government's Travel Restrictions and if they relate to them before registering for the conference. Delegates who register and are unable to enter Tasmania due to their vaccination status will only be offered a partial refund, in line with the cancellation policy outlined above.

Full refunds for cancelled registrations due to COVID-19 travel restrictions are only available for fully vaccinated delegates who are unable to travel to Hobart for APS 2022 due to their local government area lockdown or travel restrictions.

If you are unable to travel between Saturday 9 - Wednesday 13 April due to you being COVID-19 positive or being considered a close contact, the APS will offer a credit towards registration for APS 2023. Please provide documentation in support of your claim e.g. from your GP or employer, to the Conference Secretariat

Full refunds will be offered if the conference is cancelled due to COVID-19. If the conference is moved to virtual, delegates will be offered a full refund, or a partial refund if they wish to still attend the virtual conference. 

The APS strongly urges all delegates to take out travel insurance. 

Accommodation:
Cancellation fees for the Hotel Grand Chancellor can be viewed here: www.dccam.com.au/aps2022/accommodation. Cancellation of HGC bookings should be made through the Conference Secretariat.

If booking through booking.com, please check the T&C's for your preferred hotel before booking. Cancellations and changes should be made through the booking.com link you originally booked through.

Liability / Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Neither the Australian Pain Society nor DC Conference & Association Management will accept liability for, but not limited to:

  • Damages of any nature (including financial) sustained by participants, or loss or damage to their personal property in the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters, loss;
  • Loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Conference or through cancellation of the Conference;
  • Loss of international/domestic air fares or accommodation through cancellation for any reason;
  • Medical Expenses.

Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate and should be purchased in your country of origin.
Delegates are strongly recommended to take out a suitable travel insurance policy including coverage for non-refundable registration fees when you register for the meeting and book your travel.

Force Majeure

The Organizers and co-Organizers of the Meeting shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations hereunder to the extent such delay or failure is caused by fire, flood, strike, civil, governmental or military authority, acts of God, acts of terrorism, acts of war, epidemics, the un-availability of the venue or other similar causes beyond its reasonable control and without fault or negligence. For one or more of such reasons, the organizers and any co-organizers of the Meeting may postpone, reschedule or cancel the event without liability on the part of organizers and co-organizers of the Meeting. In the event the meeting cannot be held or is postponed pursuant to this section, the organizers and co-organizers of the Meeting shall not be liable to attendee for any direct, consequential or incidental damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodations costs, or financial losses.

Photography
There will be photographs taken throughout the conference and at the social events. These may be used for promotional activities, including the APS website and on social media. If you do not want your photograph taken, or used, please notify the photographer onsite at your earliest convenience.
