Thank you for attending APS 2015. We hope you enjoyed the conference and we look forward to welcoming you to Perth in 2016.
The Brisbane organising committee of the Australian Pain Society 35th Annual Scientific Meeting invites you to our wonderful city for an intensive look at "Managing Pain: From Mechanism to Policy" from 15 - 18 March 2015.
The program this year will focus on key topics including: brain pain, immune stressors, acute pain, chronic pain, opioids, neuromodulation, emerging interventional techniques, paediatrics, physiotherapy, psychology and much, much more.
The scientific program committee has drawn up an exciting program that includes three exceptional international speakers: Professor Herta Flor from the Central Institute of Mental Health, Germany, Dr Mary Lynch of Dalhousie University, Canada and Dr Frank Porreca from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, USA.
Our venue, the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, lies within the South Bank district at the heart of our beautiful city on the Brisbane River, which curves and curls around the inner city area out to Moreton Bay. South Bank is a food and cultural hub which includes art galleries, theatres, museums, pools and green spaces; as well as a wide selection of pubs, cafes and eateries. Explore the city area and South Bank out to trendy urban villages aboard the City Cats which ply the river from early morning to sparkling night.
Brisbane is also a handy base to explore Moreton Bay, the Gold Coast with its theme parks, the Sunshine Coast or Australia Zoo. The mountains behind both coasts offer a wide range of rainforest walking tracks and craft shops. Easter weather in South-East Queensland is glorious with pleasant daytime temps so stay for a little longer and enjoy all that our area has to offer.
We look forward to sharing the Conference and Brisbane with you in 2015.
