Neurogenic Bladder and sexual function restoration

Neurogenic bladder dysfunction presents significant challenges in clinical practice, impacting patient quality of life and kidney health. Understanding the differences in neurogenic bladder among patients with conditions such as tetraplegia, paraplegia, and multiple sclerosis is essential. Understanding the variations in bladder capacity, compliance, and detrusor activity versus sphincter will directly influence management strategies. The session will explore the value of urodynamic studies to guide bladder management which is critical in the context of evidence-based practice.

Additionally, we will review evidence-based medical and surgical management options for both neurogenic bladder and sexual function ensuring participants are well-equipped to implement effective treatment plans.

The session will also explore sexuality and sexual function in patients with neurological impairment, emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach to rehabilitation.

This session will ensure that healthcare providers are able to tailor treatments to individual patient needs.
