For the first time, a late breaking abstract call is being offered, giving interested researchers the opportunity to submit an abstract for the 2025 conference. Take up this opportunity and have your work featured as a poster presentation at RMSANZ NZRA 2025.

Abstracts can be submitted via this page between Monday 28 April - Monday 5 May. All accepted authors must register for the conference by the early bird deadline of Tuesday 3 June. There will be no extension to the submission or registration deadline.

Instructions to submit an abstract for a Poster for inclusion in the RMSANZ NZRA 2025 Scientific Program:  

• Abstracts should be submitted using the abstract template. Click here to download.
• Only online submissions will be accepted.
• Abstract title: should be short informative and contain the major key words - in Sentence Case. (14 Point, Left Aligned, Bold, Sentence Case, Arial, maximum 30 words)
• Authors’ names: should be on the next line with authors’ family name and then first initial and the presenting author in bold. Superscript numbers must be used to indicate the author’s institution.
• Authors’ organisations/institutions: should appear on the next line and should include the city, state and country (in this order) of the organizations/institutions and appropriate superscript numbers. Do not include degrees or professional titles (eg: Dr, Prof etc).
• Abstract text: must be in 11 point Arial, single-spaced and justified. Abstracts are to be a maximum of 300 words, including references. There is to be a maximum of 2 references. Use standard abbreviations only within the body of the abstract.
• When using abbreviations spell out the name in full at the first mention and follow with the abbreviation in parenthesis. Abbreviations may be used in the title, provided the name in full is outlined in the body of the abstract. Capitalise the first letter of trade names.
• Care should be taken to ensure high quality English expression and grammar.
• Poster Presenters will be required to attend their poster during the scheduled poster walk around sessions. 

Contents should include the following sections:

1. Background and aims: Include one or two sentences to introduce the broad topic area and provide a reason for the study then a clear statement of the study aim. A hypothesis could be included in this section. Reference word counts are included in the word limit and authors are advised to keep references to a minimum by using an abbreviated referencing system, i.e. First author et al., no title, year of publication, abbreviated journal title, volume, pages. 

2. Methods: In this section information on participants (and /or subjects) should be provided. Data may include the number of participants, demographic information such as age and gender as well as the method of recruitment. (ie a random sample or a convenient sample). Relevant inclusion and exclusion criteria, sample size calculation (if presenting a randomised clinical trial), measures and procedures used in the study are described in this section along with descriptions of analyses.

3. Results: The purpose of the result section is to provide a description of the main study findings. Submitted abstracts must include actual results; reference to inferred results that were unavailable at the time of submission is not acceptable, however, report data from additional recruitment or updated analyses after abstract submission is allowed. Results should be expressed as means or medians and the spread of the results indicated as ranges, standard deviations or 95% confidence intervals as appropriate. Probability values must be included, but are not sufficient of themselves without descriptive statistics (means, etc.).

4. Conclusions: In this section you should provide statements of interpretation and implication of findings, as well as comparison with previous literature. It should not be a simple restatement of the results.

All presenters must register for a minimum of one day of the conference by the Early Bird Registration Deadline: Tuesday 3 June 2025.
