Both associations are committed to improving the quality of care of persons with impairment and disability. The objectives of the society unite the membership with its diverse interests and many facets of rehabilitation towards a set of common goals. We seek to work closely with medical colleges, government, health organisations, international and national associations to improve and develop services for rehabilitation in the community.
The Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand (RMSANZ) fosters the highest standards of training, practice, teaching and research in the field of rehabilitation medicine. RMSANZ functions as an advocacy group for the rehabilitation profession, committed to improving the quality of care of persons with impairment and disability. They work closely with medical colleges, government, health organisations, international and national associations to improve and develop services for rehabilitation in the community.
The New Zealand Rehabilitation Association (NZRA) is a non-profit organisation for anyone interested in rehabilitation services in New Zealand. Their members are not only health professionals working in different areas of rehabilitation in New Zealand, but also people who use health and disability services and their family members, health and disability advocates, employees within health funding agencies, researchers and academics.
