Pre Conference Workshop registration fee is $50 AUD (including GST) per workshop, and can be selected via the conference registration form.

AM WORKSHOPS
The Time is Spine workshop is aimed at Spine surgeons, Orthopaedic Trainees, Rehabilitation Physicians, Rehabilitation Trainees, Nursing, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Clinical Psychologists.
The topics covered are to outline the current evidence based management in Acute SCI and hopefully will lay the foundation for a good debate and address controversies.

Discussion and networking opportunity for SCI Peer and Family Support Workers to meet and share ideas with a particular emphasis on the importance of Family Support particularly by family 'peers' and challenges and approaches to delivering this work.

We are delighted to bring this workshop to you sponsored by NZ Rugby Foundation. This workshop will highlight the changing face of Rugby related SCI and the brilliant initiatives and research work which has gone into reducing these injuries to minimum.
Dr Ken Quarrie has been instrumental over the decades with his pioneering research and has been at the forefront of prevention strategy in minimising the SCI related to rugby. He is our guest speaker and will give us a historical perspective and current cutting edge research and initiatives which make the game safer.
We also have Cody Everson, Wheel blacks Captain talking on his lived in experience following school rugby injury which left him tetraplegic. He has defied the odds and his roadmap to Wheel blacks captaincy is inspirational.
Richard Tombs, GM of Hearts in Union, will also present in this workshop, providing an Australian perspective of Rugby SCI.

In this workshop, notable speakers with extensive registry and dataset experience will share relevant learnings and offer recommendations for development of a Paediatric Spinal Cord Injury and Dysfunction (SCI/D) Registry.
It is proposed that a data repository specific to paediatric SCI/D would provide more comprehensive epidemiological data than currently available, enhance understanding of secondary complications and associated health service use, enable monitoring of trends over time and identification sub-sets for preventative campaigns, provide insight into treatment approaches and highlight areas of unmet need.
